Dogs Can Damage More Than Just Shoes As They Worm Their Way Into Our Hearts
My husband thought I had hit something or been sideswiped.
As I was walking to my hybrid electric commuter car to drive home after a day in the office earlier today, my husband texted me and asked if I had crashed into something on Friday evening. I had been the last to drive our Honda Pilot, an extra car we use to drive large groups or take long road trips in. When he saw the damaged panel by the wheel on the front passenger side, he thought I had hit something or someone hit me.
When I saw his photo, I was shocked. I knew this didn’t happen when I drove the Honda to pick up our younger daughter and her friends from school and later drop them off again to go to their school dance last Friday night. I had only left the car briefly to walk the kids to the gate. I was sure I would have heard the collision if someone hit my car.
His photo was taken from an angle while standing closer to the rear of the car, so that made it look like the car was sideswiped. I took the photo shared above when I returned home.
Our Honda is parked on our rural property, not on a suburban or urban street. We didn’t drive the car after Friday night, nor did anyone visit our home. I also didn’t think our older daughter would ever…
