I would prefer my daughter not go to an elite private university because I think there’s too much pressure to keep up. It’s the academic version of “keeping up with the Joneses.” We will see what she’s most interested in but I’m hoping she will be able to do some research and identify schools that are a good fit fit her (as opposed to choosing according to the rankings).
