Logic doesn't work with racists, though. Sadly, it's too easy to fall into some version of tribalism to justify why we deserve more and why they don't deserve it.

It doesn't mean we stop trying to teach/persuade/convince people, but it does mean that it's an uphill battle and sometimes you just don't have the energy to try anymore. You know, like with Grandpa or Uncle Joe who have thought that way for decades. Instead, I'm hopeful that younger people seem to be more open-minded and inclusive.
