Spot on, Eric. I was yelling at the screen through much of the episode while my family laughed at me because I was so annoyed with the pacing and some of the choices. It felt ridiculous at times--like the scene with Boba, the Tusken child, the Rodian alien, and the massif strolling in the desert with cheerful music playing merrily. Why did they choose that music?

Moreover, the fight scene with Boba, Fennec, and the ninja-like dudes with the glowing shields was not as kick-ass as I had hoped. Sigh. I had such high hopes as Jon Favreau brought all the best parts of the Star Wars world to Mando but then did not import the weakest parts. I'm really hoping he and his team redeem themselves in episode 2.
