Thank you for calling in Mo'Nique for wrongly trying to critique Black women's hair and dress while ignoring the bigger picture. There is an unequal standard for Black women. As you aptly pointed out, we have examples where the very same act on a White body (e.g., "boxer braids") is considered "cool" or admirable but has been considered by some to be "unprofessional" on a Black body. We need legislation like the Crown Act because people often don't change their prejudiced beliefs until forced to change or held accountable for their prejudice.
