This is an excellent essay documenting the sad reality in our country. You touched on some of the biggest institutional actors upholding anti-Black racism and benefiting from it.
The only thing I would have elaborated more on (but I know then the essay would be even longer!) would be the role of mass incarceration in stripping Black communities of their fathers and brothers and primary breadwinners (in a traditional male-dominated society). The threat of incarceration also suppresses any attempt to defy the status quo.
