This really spoke to me. I'm a child of immigrants and I know I expect more from America (and my fellow Americans) than my parents ever have. Sure, I'm grateful for opportunities but I also think America should be treating all her people equally.

There are immigrants who are sacrificing almost everything to be here (e.g., leaving families behind, working nonstop), doing the jobs no one else wants to do, and paying taxes--they're Americans, too. They hustle more than I do because I was lucky enough to be born here and born in a family with access to education and resources.

I do hope we can fix things so America lives up to our ideals.
