Yes! I totally relate to this essay.

I didn't realize until high school that other people don't embrace my mom's mantra that if you're not early, you're late. We are ALWAYS early because of it.

It drove me crazy waiting around for people until I made the shift in my mind that other people's lateness has nothing to do with how much they respect me. At least now that we have smartphones, I can check email or do something else while waiting for someone!
