Yes, I'm sure prenups make a lot of sense for older couples, especially those with kids because each spouse may want to preserve their separate property for their kids from before the marriage.

It's far less common for couples in their 20s entering a first-time marriage, though. None of my friends signed them (or at least if they did, they never told me).
