Yes, there are women who sabotage your success because of their deep jealousy/resentment of anyone who is capable and attractive. Yet it's also gendered. I don't think these same women would be threatened by a capable and attractive male colleague.

I am truly sorry Sarah experienced this so painfully and on multiple occasions. It reminds me of the petty and toxic tactics of girl bullies--circle up the other women to exclude the target because the "leader" feels threatened.
